MESA, AZ — A woman is arrested after reportedly going 110 miles per hour on US 60 in Mesa.
DPS reports that on January 23 about midnight a trooper clocked a car going 110 MPH on US 60 near Alma School Road.
The trooper attempted a stop, but the car, driven by 21-year-old Taylor Ashburn, sped away.
Ashburn was followed by a Mesa police helicopter to her home near Baseline and Cooper roads.
When DPS troopers found her, Ashburn was still in the driver’s seat. She allegedly admitted to "drinking a lot of alcohol."
According to court records, DPS says she told troopers "You know I am drunk." Her breath test results showed a .182 blood alcohol content, more than twice the legal limit.
She has been charged with extreme DUI and unlawful flight.
