ASU reporting nearly 1,000 cases among both students and staff

Arizona State University is reporting nearly 1,000 cases of coronavirus among employees and the student body on all campuses.

There are now a total of 983 cases within the ASU community.

There are 957 known positives among students, a 182 increase in cases since last reported Monday.

Students now have a 1.3% confirmed positive rate.

ASU says as of Wednesday, there are a total of 26 known positives among faculty and staff, with a .2% confirmed positive rate.

556 of the cases reside off-campus in the metropolitan Phoenix area, and 369 are currently in isolation on the ASU Tempe campus.

The others are in isolation on either the ASU Downtown Phoenix or ASU West campuses, ASU says.
