PEORIA, AZ — The Peoria Unified School District shared its reopening plans with parents, students and staff during a virtual meeting Wednesday morning.
The district said it will start the school year on time, on August 5, with fully remote instruction. For now, the in-person option will become available starting August 17.
Safety measures for the in-person option include: physical distancing when possible, requiring face masks based on county and city mandates, increased sanitization, and changes to classroom setups. Athletes will have their temperatures taken every day before practice or competitions.
