PHOENIX — The American Red Cross will be gifting a $5 gift card via email in exchange for a blood or platelet donation.
All eligible blood and platelet donations between November 18- December 18 will receive the $5.
Appointments can be scheduled via the Red Cross Blood Donor App or online. All donors are required to show a blood donor card or driver's license or two other forms of identification.
It takes about an hour to complete the donation process so plan accordingly.
In addition, donations during November, 27-30 will receive an American Red Cross long-sleeved shirt.
According to The Red Cross, there is a critical need for type O blood donors.
