None of us want to pay for something we're not getting. So when Rafael stopped pumping gas at a Phoenix station, he expected the cents to stop adding up.
But they didn't stop. It's called meter creep. It may only be a few cents, but it's a good warning to keep an eye out for it.
There's also something called meter jump. That's when the pump adds money even before you start pumping gas.
Both can be reported to the Arizona Department of Weights and Measures. They investigate every complaint.
