PHOENIX, AZ — From cleaning up neighborhoods to getting companies to keep their promises the ABC15/Better Business Bureau Volunteer Team is solving consumer problems around the Valley.

Like Patsy in Sun City West, who says she spent $9,500 on a stucco block wall only to have it start cracking a year later. It was still under warranty but after calling, emailing, and even tracking down the contractor at another job--she couldn't get them to come fix it.

She let me know, and Volunteer Roy took it on. After a couple of calls he found the contractor had a personal tragedy and had gotten behind on his jobs.

A day later, Patsy says he came out, repaired the wall and did a great job.

John in Phoenix says the wash behind his house was full of graffiti, trash and had homeless camping out in the high weeds.

The owner of the land died and no one was maintaining it.

So he let me know. And volunteer Grant jumped in. Getting in touch with the right folks at the city.

Within a couple of weeks, workers were out picking up trash and mowing down weeds.

John says the clean up has really improved the area.
