Traveling for labor day? Planning a holiday trip? Here are some ways to help save you money!
I'm a serious travel-deal hunter.
And there are two ways that can usually save me a lot of money.
The first involves rental cars.
A lot of us search for airport pick up.
It is the most convenient place.
It's also the most costly with added taxes and fees.
Recently, I took my family to the Midwest.
I saved about $1000 by choosing a location other than the airport.
Same car, same time, and only a 5-minute Uber ride away.
It's worth a check.
With some airlines, the fewer seats on a flight, the higher the price.
But what number of tickets triggers that increase?
We had four people flying recently.
I tried booking all 4 and got a pretty high price for each.
Then I started booking one at a time.
I got a lower price for each of the first three tickets.
It was just the 4th ticket that I paid the higher amount.
I saved more than $300.
Too much time on my hands?
Maybe.
But I know a lot of you also have ways to save.
