If you lost money through MoneyGram, you could be getting some of it back.
The Arizona Attorney General's office is part of a nationwide settlement with MoneyGram. The wire transfer company had been under investigation, because of complaints that consumers lost money during scams.
The $13 million dollar settlementrequires tougher security for the company and $9 million should go to victims. But, only people victimized between July 2008 and August 2009 can claim part of that money.
So, think back...and remember that anytime you are asked to wire money to someone you don't know, it's like sending cash, and it's a big red flag.
