Child hospitalized, man and teen arrested after road rage shooting in Phoenix

PHOENIX — Phoenix police say a child was taken to a hospital after being shot Tuesday afternoon during a road rage shooting between vehicles.

Officials say the child suffered non-life-threatening injuries near 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard just after 4:30 p.m.

It reportedly occurred when people in two cars "exchanged gunfire."

Police say one of the cars was tracked down near 16th and Roosevelt streets.

Phoenix police say a man and a teen were both taken into custody after this incident and charges are pending.
