PHOENIX — Four pedestrians were hurt after they were hit by a car in Phoenix Wednesday afternoon.
At about 1 p.m., Phoenix fire crews were called to the area of Desert Cove Avenue and Tatum Boulevard, just north of Shea Boulevard, for reports of a crash.
Firefighters are on the scene of a two vehicle accident involving multiple pedestrians. Please avoid the area.

Phoenix Fire officials said the crash involved two vehicles and multiple pedestrians.
During an early investigation, crews learned one of the vehicles hit four adult pedestrians. One of them needed to be rescued from being pinned underneath one of the vehicles, according to Phoenix Fire officials.
Four people were taken to a hospital in various conditions.
