PHOENIX — The Phoenix Police Department is investigating a homicide near Washington Park at 23rd Avenue and Ocotillo Road.
On Saturday around 1:30 a.m. officers were called to the area where they found an adult male.
Authorities say he had obvious signs of trauma and was pronounced deceased by the Phoenix Fire Department. On Sunday, police identified him as 22-year-old Nestor Magana.
Detectives are working to learn what led up to his death. It's unclear if police are searching for any suspects.
A suspected cause of death hasn't been revealed by authorities.
The investigation remains going.
