PHOENIX — Phoenix police say that a very young child died near 51st Avenue and McDowell Road early Sunday morning.
Just after 5:30 a.m., officers received a call about a child not breathing.
When they arrived, they located the child, and firefighters treated the child before taking the infant to a local hospital.
The child was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Police have not said what led to the child's death, but they do not believe the death is suspicious.
