“Impostors”, a new six-part investigative documentary, exposes these fakes and reveals how an incompetent, impotent and indifferent system lets them run free and puts the public at risk.
Our investigation found impostors are everywhere, in nearly every health field.
So far, ABC15’s investigation is directly responsible for three criminal cases against impostors.
One has already been sentenced to several years in prison. Lawmakers and the governor’s office are working on addressing the system failures our investigation uncovered.
In all, ABC15 found there have been nearly 130 individuals officially questioned, accused, and/or found to have participated in the unlicensed practice of health since mid-2012.
