PHOENIX — Phoenix Fire crews are battling a large structure fire near 12th Street and Broadway Road.
Just before 1:30 p.m., firefighters were called to the area for a large fire. When they arrived they located a large metal clad garage on fire that had about 1,000 tires inside.
Crews began a water operation and used ladder trucks to put out the flames.
No injuries have been reported.
Crews are currently in a defensive strategy. Firefighters will be using a “Big Water” operation to extinguish the flames. pic.twitter.com/FENibwQzFN

Everyone is asked to avoid the area.
An investigation remains ongoing.
