The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office has issued a "GO" status for residents north of Pine Flat, south of Prescott.
According to officials, the Brady Fire is threatening the area and residents are asked to evacuate immediately.
Officials say the Brady Fire is "estimated to be 400 acres and is burning brush and grass."
U.S. Forest Service officials say smoke was seen from surrounding communities including Prescott, Chino Valley, Prescott Valley and Crown King
It is unclear how much of the fire has been contained.
