PHOENIX — Phoenix police say two people have died in a multi-vehicle crash near 32nd Street and Broadway Road.
Emergency crews were called to the area around 4:00 a.m. Sunday for reports of a serious collision.
During an investigation detectives learned a Toyota Scion was southbound on 32nd Street when it collided with a Kia Optima that was exiting eastbound Interstate 10.
A man and woman inside the Kia were pronounced dead. Police identified them on Monday as, 36-year-old Chandra Cooper and 41-year-old Edward Arroyo.
A four-year-old girl inside the Kia was taken to a hospital where she is said to have non-life threatening injuries, according to Phoenix PD.
A man and woman inside the Toyota received non-life threatening injuries.
Impairment of the driver of the Toyota is believed to be a factor in the crash, police said.

An arrest hasn't been announced. The investigation remains ongoing.
