PHOENIX — Arizona Department of Transportation officials say Northbound I-17 is reopen after an earlier crash in the area.
Traffic was backed up for hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
ADOT officials recommend drivers avoid the interstate as there are still some delays.

Commuters should also expect delays on the I-10 between Phoenix and Casa Grande, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

This back up is due to a crash milepost 179.
If you are heading from Tucson into Phoenix, you can take a detour from State 87 North at Picacho to Loop 202 Santan in Chandler, ADOT says.
