SANFORD, Fla. — A baby died on Friday after being pulled from a locked vehicle in Sanford, Florida, officials say.
Investigators say just before 5 p.m., deputies were called to the report of a child possibly left in a locked vehicle at a Wawa store. The 1-year-old girl was found in the back of a vehicle that was parked at a gas pump, deputies say. The girl was already deceased when deputies arrived.

Seminole County Investigators are currently questioning the baby's mother. Their initial indications are that the mother went to work this morning and forgot the child was in the vehicle. Investigators are still working to establish a timeline of events and are consulting the State Attorney's Office.

The identity of mother and child are not being released at this time.
This is the second hot car death in Florida reported on Friday. Earlier in the evening, a 4-year-old boy died after being left in a hot car just outside of Orlando, officials say.
