California State University Los Angeles has rolled out segregated housing for black students.

The on-campus housing is designed to gather those interested in issues concerning the black community, according to KTLA. There is a wait list to get into the housing that currently holds 24 students.

According to the College Fix, Cal State LA joins UConn, UC Davis and Berkeley in offering segregated housing dedicated to black students.

The Cal State LA website offers a single paragraph on the new segregated housing:

The Halisi Scholars Black Living-Learning Community is designed to enhance the residential experience for students who are a part of or interested in issues of concern to the black community living on campus by offering the opportunity to connect with faculty and peers, and engage in programs that focus on academic success, cultural awareness, and civic engagement.

California State University, Los Angeles is a public comprehensive university in the heart of Los Angeles, one of the 23 universities in the California State University system.
