Did you miss the deadline for health insurance? Luckily, you still have time.
HealthCare.gov extended the enrollment deadline two days, ending at 11:59 p.m. on Thursday. The original deadline was set for December 15.
According to a media release, the website saw a surge in activity nearing the deadline, so they decided to extended the time frame.
About one million consumers left their contact information on the website to hold their place in line, showing the need for extra time.
New policies take effect on Jan. 1, 2016.
If you need to sign up still or have yet to finish enrolling, visit HealthCare.gov or call 1-800-318-2696 before the end of the day on Dec. 17. Free help is available from the Marketplace Call Center for those who need it.
