A man was hit and killed by an Amtrak train in Moorpark, California, while leaving flowers for another train victim.
According to the Ventura County Star, a 47-year-old man was hit by a train coming from Los Angeles at speeds around 70 miles per hour on Monday.
Witnesses told police the victim was on the tracks to lay flowers in memory of a man who was struck by a train and killed on Saturday, the Ventura County Star says.
Witnesses reportedly tried to warn the man that a train was coming, but he didn’t get out of the way in time.
More than 220 people were on the train at the time of the crash and were not injured.
