President Donald Trump tweeted Friday he will soon make an announcement regarding the US-Mexico border wall.
The announcement will come at 3 p.m. Eastern on Saturday. In his tweet, the President called the announcement "major" and said it will be made from the White House.
Funding for the wall has been a source of contention between the Democrats leading the House of Representatives and the President. The Dems won't give Trump the $5 billion he wants to build a stronger wall at the U.S.-Mexico border.
This has led to the longest government shutdown in U.S. history, with both sides refusing to give in.
It is not clear what Trump's announcement might involve.
I will be making a major announcement concerning the Humanitarian Crisis on our Southern Border, and the Shutdown, tomorrow afternoon at 3 P.M., live from the @WhiteHouse.
