An envelope that was thought to be a suspicious package shut down an area near Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall on Friday afternoon, authorities said.
According to the Scottsdale Fire Department, the envelope was found to be suspicious.
A hazmat crew and a police bomb canine cleared the envelope as "safe for transport," Scottsdale firefighters told ABC15. The envelope will be sent to a state lab where the contents will be analyzed.

The incident happened at the Scottsdale Waterfront shopping area near the Olive & Ivy restaurant.
Officials have not said who the envelope was shipped to.
