On April 18, the all-new Polk Penguin Conservation Center will open at the Detroit Zoo after nearly two years of construction.

On Thursday morning, the zoo penguins made the "March of the Penguins" to the new 33,000-square-foot center.

The center will feature a 25-foot-deep aquatic area where people can watch the penguins explore their habitat and two underwater tunnels.

The center will have timed entry at the beginning which is determined at the gate at the zoo.
