PHOENIX — A judge will not sanction Kari Lake or her attorneys for a lawsuit she brought regarding the election results in the state, but she will have to pay $33,000 in court fees.
The judge's ruling on possible sanctions was announced Tuesday.
The money awarded will go to cover compensation for expert witnesses that testified in the trial.
The Arizona Secretary of State's office and Maricopa County filed the motion to seek sanctions on Monday ahead of the deadline.

In the ruling, the court confirmed the election results that Katie Hobbs will be Arizona's next governor.
Late in the day Tuesday, court records show Kari Lake's team filed an appeal to the judge's ruling.
My Election Case provided the world with evidence that proves our elections are run outside of the law. This Judge did not rule in our favor. However, for the sake of restoring faith and honesty in our elections, I will appeal his ruling.
