PHOENIX — Kari Lake spoke Tuesday on the second day of the Republican National Convention in Wisconsin.
Lake is running in the Republican primary for a Senate seat against Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb. Representative Ruben Gallego is running unopposed in the primary and will face the winner of Lake and Lamb in the November general election.

While on stage Tuesday, Lake diverged from what some politicians - including her ally, former President Donald Trump - had called for in the wake of Saturday's assassination attempt.
While Trump had said he would like a focus on unity following the shooting in Pennsylvania, Lake began by criticizing the media and Democrats.
Following Lake's speech at the RNC, she spoke with ABC15 Political Reporter Rachel Louise Just.

Trump will speak at the RNC on Thursday, in what is expected to be a speech reworked to address national unity.
