Increased safety protocols will be in place for all EVIT students and staff, including Maricopa County's mask mandate, frequent hand washing, social distancing when possible and increased sanitization procedures.

In a letter to parents on July 9, Superintendent Dr. Chad Wilson wrote, "While EVIT can temporarily deliver online content, we are not well equipped to offer extended online learning because of the hands-on nature of our programs. In addition, unlike our high school partners, we do not have the resources to offer on-campus and online instruction concurrently."

Wilson went on to say, "Many of our partnering school districts and charter schools will be offering some career and technical education programming online, and for those who feel they cannot attend EVIT’s on-campus programs at this time, we would suggest that you consider enrolling in your high school’s CTE programs until you are comfortable being back on our EVIT campuses."

EVIT offers career and technical education for east Valley high school students and Phoenix-area adults. The main campus is in central Mesa with branch locations in east Mesa, Apache Junction and Fountain Hills
