DPS: Deadly crash on WB I-10 near Casa Grande under investigation

CASA GRANDE, AZ — Authorities have identified the driver who died in a crash Tuesday morning on Interstate 10 near Casa Grande.

The crash happened just before 4:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes near milepost 193, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

DPS says a Honda Civic rear-ended an SUV and then crossed all three lanes and spun out.

The driver of the Civic, identified as 28-year-old Casa Grande resident Michael Epps, was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

There was no indication from DPS anyone in the SUV was injured.

All lanes had reopened to traffic by 7:10 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
