Interstate 10 has reopened near Casa Grande after separate crashes closed it both westbound and eastbound Wednesday morning.
The Arizona Department of Transportation said two separate crashes, one in the eastbound lanes, one in the westbound lanes forced the freeway's closures. They reopened a few hours later.
The Department of Public Safety said four vehicles were involved in the crash on westbound Interstate 10 near Florence Boulevard at 4:38 a.m. Four people were transported to the hospital. One person has life-threatening injuries.
At 4:40 a.m. a semi truck and a sedan collided at eastbound Interstate 10 near Sunland Gin Road. One person was taken to the hospital in unknown condition.
