A silver alert for a missing Casa Grande woman was canceled early Sunday morning after police located the subject.
Joyce Gonzales, 79, was last seen Saturday by an officer at a Walgreens Pharmacy on Pinal Avenue around 3:30 p.m. Officials said she asked the officer for directions to Harrah’s Casino and drove away.
The officer said Gonzales, who has shown early signs of dementia, was acting strangely but was able to confirm her name and current location at the time that he spoke to her.
Family members said Gonzales has a history of becoming disoriented when traveling at night.
Luckily, Casa Grande Police said Gonzales had been located by Buckeye Police in Buckeye and is now safe.
