The Pinal County Attorney's Office says it won't prosecute a Casa Grande couple who left their 2-year-old daughter alone in a vehicle for more than two hours on a hot July day.
County Attorney Lando Voyles announced Thursday that there's insufficient evidence to bring a criminal charge of child abuse against the parents. He calls the incident an accident.
Casa Grande police say Stephen and Courtney Sellaro asked one of their other six children to take the 2-year-old girl out of her car seat after they returned home from church on July 19.
Two hours later, the parents found the child still in the vehicle and in car seat.
Authorities say the toddler is recovering from the incident from undisclosed injuries and continues to improve every day
