The Superstition Fire is burning in the wilderness near the Peralta Trailhead.
Officials with the U.S. Forest Service say the blaze is about 100 acres and started due to a lightning strike.
No evacuations have been put in effect, but East Valley residents may see flames or smoke.
"Due to inaccessible terrain, excessive heat, and limited resources due to local and national fire activity, the fire is not currently staffed, however, it is being closely monitored by air resources, with crews available if needed," according to a news release.
Several other lightning-caused wildfiresare burning near the Valley after recent storms.
