Officials are investigating after the second largest marijuana seizure was made in Arizona last week.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says more than 17,000 pounds -- $8.5 million worth -- of marijuana was found in six palette boxes inside of a tractor trailer.
The driver, identified as 23-year-old Gerardo Cruz of Sonora, reportedly identified the load as aircraft parts.
CBP says the only seizure larger than this one was a 20,000 pound seizure in November 2013.
The marijuana was located with the help of a drug-sniffing dog.
Cruz was taken into custody by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
