U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials recovered more than five pounds of methamphetamine that was wrapped around a woman's stomach earlier this week.
On April 17, a canine team stopped a 33-year-old San Luis, Ariz. woman at the Port of San Luis. Officers searched her and located a thick, plastic vacuum-sealed wrap formed around her waist.
After removing the wrap from the woman's body, officers located more than five pounds of drugs.
She was turned over to Homeland Security Investigations.
