The Pinal County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a 53-year-old woman suspected of fatally shooting her long-term domestic partner.
The victim is a 54-year-old woman. The women haven't been identified.
Spokesman Mark Clark said calls about shots being fired at house in Red Rock, just north of Tucson off Interstate 10, came in around 11 a.m. on Monday.
Other callers also reported seeing a woman injured on the sidewalk outside the house. The woman was transported to a Tucson hospital where she was declared dead.
Clark said deputies arrested the suspect without incident and that they believe the homicide was domestic violence related
He said the women were domestic partners who lived together for 15 years and that police haven't been called to that house in the past.
