US 60 reopens near Superior because of serious accident

A highway has reopened in east-central Arizona following a serious accident involving multiple vehicles.
 
The state Department of Transportation says U.S. 60 was closed in both directions west of Superior because of the accident Tuesday morning.
 
According to the state Department of Public Safety, initial reports indicate that the accident involves two commercial vehicles and three passenger vehicles and that at least one injured person has been airlifted from the scene.
