48 people arrested for street racing in Tucson over the weekend

TUCSON, AZ — Pima County Sheriff's deputies arrested 48 people over the weekend for street racing.

According to the department, deputies responded over the weekend to reports of street racing near Swan and Los Reales roads in southern Tucson.

About 75 vehicles were gathered to race, and some vehicles were going as fast as 100mph.

Deputies arrested 48 suspects on street racing charges and released them at the scene.
