Officials are investigating after wrong-way driver was stopped by law enforcement in Marana.
Marana police said the crash happened on Friday afternoon on Interstate 10 near Twin Peaks Road.
According to police, the wrong way driver was stopped on the freeway by officers.
A DPS trooper, a sergeant, sustained injuries when his foot was run over by the wrong-way vehicle. He has been transported to the hospital.
Traffic in the area was backed up while officials completed the investigation.

Friday afternoon, police identified the driver as 53-year-old Karie Laflamme, of Tucson. She was booked into the Pima County Jail on charges of aggravated assault of a police officer and aggravated assault of a police officer with a deadly weapon.
