Tucson police are looking into the shooting death of a 30-year-old man.

Police spokeswoman Kimberly Bay says officers responded to reports of shots being fired Tuesday shortly after 8 p.m. near Richey Boulevard and Presidio Road.

The officers found a man with clear signs of gunshot trauma lying in the roadway.

Firefighters transported him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have identified him as Enrique Bracamonte.

Investigators say they believe the shooting was drug-related.

They say an altercation developed amid a small gathering at a home nearby where narcotic drugs were in use.

The situation escalated with an exchange of gunfire.

Police say Bracamonte was hit and fled before collapsing in the street.

Bay says no arrests have been made but the investigation is ongoing.
