Authorities are investigating after two children were found dead at a home on Tucson's west side Thursday afternoon.
According to the Pima County Sheriff's Department, deputies first responded to a welfare check at the home. Inside, they found two children dead "with obvious signs of trauma."
Deputies say an autopsy will ultimately determine how they died, and there is no current threat to the community.
A PCSD spokesperson told Scripps station KGUN9 that the whereabouts of the children's parents are unknown.
