UofA police to use body-worn cameras

Posted

University of Arizona police officers will begin using body-worn cameras soon.

The department announced the purchase of 58 cameras during a meeting on Thursday.

KOLD-TV reports that each camera cost about $1,600 and that the department has been testing them out for the past two months.

Chief Brian Seastone said the cameras will help show a better representation of what officers encounter.
