A new wildfire is burning in western Arizona.
The 900 acre wildfire is burning 8 miles east of Wellton, which is 40 miles east of Yuma.
Five homes have been evacuated due to the fire. Crews continue to provide structure protection to homes in the area.
Fire officials said the "38e Fire" is burning in salt cedar in a river bottom and is 40% contained.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire was first reported on Tuesday afternoon.
