Man arrested in Yuma road-rage shooting; 2 injured flown to Phoenix

A man has been arrested after a possibly road-rage shooting left two people injured in Yuma on Saturday.

According to Yuma County Sheriff officials, deputies received reports of a possible road-rage incident involving a dark-colored Jeep Cherokee and a white Ford F-150 near Interstate 8 and Fortuna Road around 11 a.m.

Authorities said that the driver of the white truck, 29-year-old Randy Munoz, allegedly fired shots into the Jeep Cherokee and fled the scene. A man and woman were found shot in the Jeep and taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center before being eventually flown to a Phoenix-area hospital, officials said.

Munoz was found shortly after near his residence in Yuma and taken into custody.

Munoz faces two counts of attempted homicide and four counts of aggravated assault.
