YUMA, AZ — Yuma County Sheriff’s Office deputies are asking for the public's help to locate the owners of a stray pig that was found wandering in Yuma Monday morning.

On Monday, YCSO's Animal Control Unit responded to a report of a stray pig near County 12 1/2 Street and Foothills Boulevard.

The pig was taken to the Yuma Humane Society but authorities say an owner has not been located at this time.

On Thursday, the stray pig was placed under the supervision of the YCSO Livestock Unit.

The pig is described as a potbelly pig, grey and white in color and weighs about 100 pounds.

Authorities said if the pig remains unclaimed, it will be turned over to the Arizona Department of Agriculture within seven days.

If you have any information regarding this stray pig, you are asked to call Eric Driedger at the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office at 928-783-4427.
