Maricopa County Sheriff's Office says three men have been taken into custody after a string of burglaries in Anthem on Wednesday.

The burglaries occurred near Daisy Mountain Road and Anthem Way early Wednesday afternoon. Four schools in the area were placed on lockdown Wednesday as deputies searched for the suspects.

Terrick Fargo, Derrick Fargo, and Marlon Vieves-Catala were taken into custody after an extensive search involving both helicopters and police dogs.

Former neighbors say the Fargo twins could be nice, but also had a bad reputation in the community.

"They never seemed to be trouble makers at all but I saw counselors, probation officers, and an abundance of sheriffs at their house regularly," said a neighbor who asked not to be identified.

Deputies say the Fargos were booked on several open burglary cases.

Officials have declined at this time to say exactly how many but people living in Anthem say burglaries have been a growing problem.

"It was scary. It was very invasive and you just feel so violated," said Carine Nadel.

Nadel says whoever broke into her home came in through the window and stole thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry and electronics.

To protect herself Nadel installed special door locks, motion sensors and cameras both inside and around her home.

"I don’t want to come home and find what I did that day ever again," said Nadel.
