Firefighters say a man found at the bottom of a pool Sunday afternoon has died at the hospital.
Units from Phoenix and Scottsdale responded to a home near 68th Street and McDonald around 4:30 p.m. for a report of a 30-year-old man who entered the water.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A Phoenix Fire Department spokesman said bystanders reported alcohol was involved, but officials said they would wait for the toxicology report before making a determination on whether it played a factor in his death.
The Paradise Valley Police Department is handling the investigation into the man's death.
No other information was immediately available.
The incident is the second major water-related incident to happen in the Valley on Sunday. Earlier in the day, Tempe first responders took two-year-old twins to the hospital after they were found in a hot tub.
