PARADISE VALLEY, AZ — Paradise Valley police have located the body of a missing 84-year-old woman who was last seen on April 8.
Police say they found Laleah "Jo" Ebentier around 10 a.m. Wednesday, deceased in the backyard of a home in Paradise Valley. Authorities believe Ebentier may have received a courtesy ride from the area of 52nd Street and Doubletree Ranch Road before she went missing.
Officials say Jo suffered from dementia and had limited mobility.
Police say officers and volunteers conducted door-to-door searches, including all washes and brown belts, and overhead drone flights to find Jo, but were unable to locate her until Wednesday.
Officials say there are no signs of criminal activity, and are awaiting a cause of death from the Medical Examiner's Office.
