A driver is expressing frustration with emergency responders after he was shot at while driving to work on the Loop 101 in Scottsdale.
The shooting happened on February 8 around 6:30 a.m.
Here's an excerpt from the 911 dispatch audio from the 911 call:
Dispatcher: You've just been shot at. We would like to meet with you. I am sorry you're agitated by my questions.
Victim: I am not. I am not agitated. I mean this is kind of pointless. I mean obviously you guys didn't catch the last dude shooting on the freeway.
The Department of Public Safety said road rage caused the shooting and it was not related to the freeway shootings that gained national attention in 2015.
According to DPS, the victim's vehicle was shot at three to four times after he passed the suspect's vehicle. The suspect was reportedly preventing the victim from passing. When the victim passed, the suspect fired his weapon. The driver was not hurt.
DPS is looking for a "boxy-type" vehicle that was involved in the shooting. The vehicle is possibly a maroon Honda Element.
A description of the suspect is unknown right now.
