A series of back-to-back crashes Tuesday morning caused significant delays on the Loop 101 Pima Freeway in Scottsdale.
A total of three crashes happened along Loop 101 near the Chaparral exit shortly after 7:30 a.m., according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety. Injuries have been reported, but the extent of those injuries was not immediately known.

A motorcycle trooper was also involved, but was not injured.
Arizona Department of Transportation at the time reported delays from northbound Loop 101 at Chapparal back to the Loop 202. Southbound traffic had delays reported back to 90th Street.
The first crash was reported at 7:24 a.m. along northbound Loop 101 and McDonald. Two vehicles are involved and injuries have been reported. It is not yet known if the injuries are minor or serious, said DPS.
Eight minutes later, a crash involving three vehicles was reported on southbound Loop 101 at Chaparral. One of the vehicles involved collided with a DPS trooper's motorcycle, said DPS. No injuries were reported in that incident.
A third crash involving two vehicles in the area was reported at 8:03 a.m. DPS said minor injuries have been reported.
