A driver has died after slamming into the back of a box truck on Loop 101 in Scottsdale Friday afternoon.

Department of Public Safety spokesman Raul Garcia said the driver of the silver sedan was airlifted from eastbound Loop 101 near Scottsdale road after rear-ending the truck.
The man was taken to Scottsdale Osborn in critical condition where he later died.
Garcia said distracted driving has not been ruled out.
